The Heavy Anti-Tank (HAT) kit is a essential kit for effectively destroying enemy armor such as Tanks, Emplacements, APCs
Usually 1 HAT kit can be issued per team.
The HAT kit carries the a powerful anti-tank rocket launcher that is capable of destroying any vehicle in the entire game, the rocket launchers vary between Laser Guided and Rocket Propelled Grenade (RPG).
The laser guided launchers have a distictive white brackets [ ] (Some RPGs have white brackets also) when aiming down the scope, this represents your current accuracy of the rocket. It is always best to wait until the brackets are at their smallest as this will greatly increase the chance of hitting. Crouching will close the brackets even further and standing will open them. Lying down will remove the brackets altogether, making it the least advisable position to fire.
There is 2 types of HAT weapons in game Guided and Unguided
To use Guided HAT weapons you aim down sight, wait for the white brackets to get close and hold you left mouse button, after couple of seconds the missile will be fired and you keep holding the left mouse button and moving your mouse to adjust the guidance of the missile, all guided HAT kits are fired in direct fire mode with the exception of spike that allow you to switch between 2 types of attack modes.
for spike before firing you have 2 Attack types (by default you can change the type by pressing Q), Top Attack and Direct attack modes. Top Attacks is designed to attack armoured vehicles from above as a form of plunging fire, as the armour is usually thinnest at the top,to guided it is simple just like other Guided HAT kits where you have to hold your mouse and keep sight on target. Direct attack is the same as the other HAT weapons where missile fires directly to the target.
Guided HAT Weapons are: Eryx,MBT Law,SRAW and lastly SPIKE
For unguided HAT Weapons you must plan your shots before firing. You must take in account how far the target is and where the target is going to be when you fire. For mid/long range targets it is advised you aim a fare amount above the target to compensate gravity on the projectile. For moving targets you must guess where the target will be when you rocket reaches their distance, this is for the most part guess work but if successful the rewards are great!
unguided HAT Weapons are: from the RPG-7 family PG7VR,Iranian tandem,PG7MT,PG7VL and Sakr Cobrra.Outside of the RPG family there is:PF-98,PZF3 DM22,SMAW,Super Bazooka,Type 36,Panzerschreck.There is also the PG7V and Bazooka that are technically LAT weapons but are used in some factions as HAT.
